Here's some recent produce from the garden. Three plum tomatoes and the tiniest little beet. I've been reading Fukuoka's One Straw Revolution and getting my loner-farmer vibe going (I deleted over 200 friends on FB today and have decided to get out). It's not much of a garden haul, but it's something right? Call it the Tiniest Beet Revolution. But I don't think I'll try to subsist on just these as Fukuoka-san would.

Ok, another book to add to the must reads! We only harvested 4 cherry tomatoes this year, the darn deer and raccoons beat us to the punch! Next year we must put up a really tall fence. So I say HOORAY for those beautiful plum tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteLisa :)
I know what you mean, a deer ate my prized Oaxacan Jewel that I had out front. Our heirlooms are really saggy and probably won't produce more than 2 tomatoes between four plants!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll focus on growing things more suited to the Oregon climate . . .
The tiny tomatoes appreciate the cheer!
